Being from the South (and right next to Louisiana), I’m a huge fan of Cajun food. This mix is awesome on shrimp, chicken, in red beans and rice, or vehicles for dip like sour cream or mayo.
3 t dried oregano
3 t dried thyme
3 t onion powder
3 (heaping) t cayenne pepper
6 t paprika
6 t garlic powder
2 t coarse salt
2 t black pepper
- Mix all ingredients in a jar.
- Put the lid on tight and save for when you want a quick Cajun meal!
- I like it spicy, so if you’re more of a mild person, I would probably half the cayenne pepper.
- I like to use ground sea salt for the coarse salt.
